A different contest, the same winner.
After the testing that me and Phoneboy performed a few weeks ago, comparing SightSpeed’s video quality against iChat, him and Andy compared SightSpeed and Skype, and the former was the winner.
Andy Abramson and I did a test call using Skype Video and SightSpeed. As was my previous experience, the video on SightSpeed blew away Skype. Heck, even the audio sounded better on SightSpeed!
While Skype keeps introducing new versions that essentially tweak the UI and focus on the Windows client, SightSpeed releases new versions on both Mac and Windows that improve actual functionality. Also, SightSpeed’s management actually understands and works with bloggers unlike Skype, who seems to ignore them.
