A few months ago Giacomo dropped me a line asking me to try Nimbuzz out.

At that time, Nimbuzz was a nifty mobile IM client through which I could send IM messages to other Nimbuzz users and MSN/GTalk buddies.

Now Nimbuzz evolved, becoming an easy-to-use mobile VoIP service, letting you make phone calls to your contacts at their PC, if they are using a voice-enabled IM clients like Google Talk, Yahoo Voice and Windows Live Messenger.

Nimbuzz Voice is a revolutionary concept that already is changing the world of mobile communication.

With Nimbuzz Voice you eliminate the huge tariffs mobile operators charge you for international calls you make with your friends.

Nimbuzz Voice services will change the way you use your mobile today. Experience the fun of mobile group calls with your friends, or calling your buddies on their mobile or PC. At your lowest local rate. Much more services are being developed. Check out our website reguarly!

I’m going to try it out on my N80i, in order to verify how it really works.

The service that I’ve tried already and that seems to be closest to Nimbuzz is Fring. But, according to this first review by Giacomo, it seems that the way they use to connect two mobile phones is pretty similar to Rebtel.

I’ll check it out in deep soon.

  1. since while editing the userid, it seems that the special characters are not allowes… how to insert “@” ? All this said, this service is still a beta (alpha?) but what I’ve seen is promising. Even if it’s still far from clients like Fring orNimbuzz, I think that with a little more work it can become a player that will be worth a watch in this market. luca filigheddu, mobile, voip, yeigo If you liked this article, please buy me a coffee!
