I’m italian, so I don’t have the opportunity to buy an iPhone yet.
But, if at the end of this week iPhones appeared on local European stores, I believe I would buy one. Here are five reasons why.
1) I want to experiment a so long “declared” battery life
2) I love iPhone’s user experience
3) I love MacOSX and iPod, so I expect the same “feelings” for the iPhone
4) I really want a well integrated email client
5) I love the form factor
My only concern is that something similar to what happened for AppleTV is going to happen again for iPhone. Now iPhone is provided with 4 or 8 GB internal memory, but I believe that after 1 month or two a new model with more capacity will be available. I bought a 40GB AppleTV in March and now a 160GB is available for just $100 more. Are we really sure that photos like this one were taken with an iPod?
Anyway, as you can see, what leads me to really want an iPhone is something more related to user experience and look&feel, on the contrary less related to features.
What I mean is that I guess that many people will buy it for the same reasons. iPhone is becoming a must-have, that’s the reality. I repeat: there are many different and great MP3 players out there, but only one iPod.
