YouTube with Ads: implications

Everyone is discussing the newly introduced ads on selected YouTube videos that would let Google finally monetize YouTube, their potential gold mine.

I don’t want to spend much time repeating what you can read in other news sites and blogs. Take a look at the NYT for a detailed summary of this news.

On the other hand, I want to share my thoughts on the first implication I saw after reading this news.

What about Apple to share revenues with Google on ads displayed on YouTube’s videos watched through the AppleTV? This said, is the web browser the next application expected to appear in the next release of AppleTV’s OS ? This way users can quickly jump to the advertiser’s website straight from their AppleTV.
