It seems that another software solution for unlocking the iPhone is now available and, moreover, completely for free and Open Source.

How it works sorry??
It just will unlock the iPhone 4 without doing anything??
Is it neccessary to power off the cell ?
How can i know it is unlocked and can work as well ?!

Yeah it works, the dev team have also released the latest software to unlock the iphone 3g for free using their software called yellowsn0w, that works great too :)
