Om Malik points out that Google is slowly signing deals with ISPs worldwide in order to provide them with Google Apps. The latest one is with Wildblue, a satellite service provider, that will start using G-apps starting from 1Q 2008.

To me, that’s surely a natural and smart move by Google. Just think of the powerful GMail’s spam filter or on the Google Calendar’s collaboration capabilities. Most Internet Service Providers can bring to their users cutting-edge web based services with the powerful support of the #1 Internet Brand.

The best part of this story is that Google will quickly reach a “hidden” area of the market, made of “latest adopters” that only trust on their service providers and use whatever service they offer to them, without having the ability/skills to look for something else / better. I know lot of people that don’t know Gmail or never heard about Google applications like Google Docs or Google Calendar.

Many players in this field should watch out.
