In my opinion this just announced move by Skype is the one that makes more sense in a market where phone calls’ prices are dropping close to zero. Skype just launched unlimited plans to your preferred country, all over Europe or Worldwide. Here are the details:

This means that for euro 4.54 VAT included, I can call any landline in 20 European countries no matter how long calls last nor how many calls I make.  There is a fair usage policy, but not really relevant since they give you up to 10.000 minutes a month.

In addition, If you buy a plan before June 1st, you pay two months and get three. No doubt guys, this is a bargain for users and a bargain for Skype. What do they achieve? Users’ retention, boost in revenues, boost in usage in regards of PC to Phone calls. And, if rumors about a possible sale of Skype were true, an effective way to boost revenues in a very short period of time.
