Next week during NXTComm in Las Vegas, Alcatel-Lucent announced that they’ll be showcasing their next generation Voice 2.0 capabilities and releasing a Service Creation Environment to develop new Voice 2.0 applications around their IMS platform.
Web 2.0 APIs are already provided by all the components of Alcatel-Lucent IMS platform, so this is an important step ahead for the group. Working closely with developers is an important part of the strategy of all the companies working in the IP communications space, since they realized that this is the only way to get the most out of the platforms provided to telecom operators, enabling a deep web integration and the creation of brand new applications that none was thinking of just a few years ago.
