Three Must-Have, Stunning Apps for Your BlackBerry

Since the launch of the BlackBerry App World I’ve discovered lots of apps I totally ignored before. Some applications are so useful that have become an integrant part of my BlackBerry Bold as well as my daily workflow, reason why I’d like to share them with my readers.

All that said, here are the three apps that boosted my productivity so much that I can’t live without.

LaterDude Pro

Your working day is full of events, calls, emails and other asyncronous events for which you need to follow up (and, even more, remember to follow up…). An email can lead to a call to be made, a missed call to a call back, a new SMS to an important email to be sent. How can you easily manage this overload of activities to be done? Well, Later Dude Pro helps you in a very effective way.

The app adds a “Remind me later” option to the contextual menu of most apps like Email, SMS, Call history, Address Book and so on. When you choose that option, the app asks you if you want to remind it as a Call, a Meeting, a SMS, a Contact or an eMail. After that, you must choose when (after 1, 2, X hours, 1, 2, X days, 1, 2, X weeks…) then a new calendar event will be added in the form (for example, if you use it for a missed call to be called back) “Call +1415123456789″ at the date/time you specified.

Easy right? It saves you a lot of time and being integrated as a contextual option to other major productivity apps is a big deal. Get it from the BlackBerry App World.

Gwabbit

Gwabbit is a little app that saves you a lot of time when it comes to grab addresses, phone numbers, emails and so on from all your incoming emails.

Gwabbitt basically extracts relevant contact information from email signatures and the email body and shows you a popup asking if you want yo add that contacts to your address book. If you already have that contact info you can just cancel, otherwise you go on with the process of adding a new pre-filled contact. Really smart, isn’t it? Watch the video below to see how Gwabbit works or get it for your BlackBerry. Gwabbit is available for Outlook, too.

AddOnis

This is likely the best of the three apps reviewed in this post. This little app adds a new submenu to your Options page and lets you do a lot of useful things you can’t ever imagine. The list is veeeeery long, so please take a look at the screenshots below, they speak by themselves (and the features available are much more than those shown below!).

In particular, one feature I definitely love is the ability to automatically add a calendar event to track all the calls you make/receive at the proper time. I’m finding this little trick a great way to keep track of my calls and to easily get back to calls I received/made in the past. You can get AddOnis here.

If you find these apps useful, please spread the word about them among other BlackBerry users by sharing this post on Twitter, Facebook and other major sharing/social networking sites. Your comments are much appreciated, as well!
