Make sure you are properly closing applications after using them by pressing blackberry button and scrolling to close. (may have to repeat.) One thing I noticed that was causing my memory to slow down, often my phone would be behind 3 number presses when making a call. This was because all of my numerous applications were still running in the background. I never closed them properly! this enables the bb to have faster multi tasking, but you have to ensure the app is closed otherwise faster multi tasking on 10 applications becomes slower reaction time to user commands.

Florian,
happy to know I'm on the right track. Read you were using the Droid but wanted to make sure it is suitable for a power business usage. How about battery?

BB used to be a corporate tool. iPhone changed the concept of smartphone, Android will change corporate approach to mobile business solution.
I still have a 9700 but my main phone is a Droid. Thinking of abandoning RIM completely. You are on the right track :)
